Second to None “The B-boy Mercenaries” from Charlie Marbles on Vimeo.
A little drop from the Hip-Hop history books.
My clandestine source of power (dubbed B-boy VHS tapes from the early 90’s) and one of the earliest influences to mine and many B-boys I hold in high regards styles’. Early european B-boys brought to the game a new level of finesse and power never seen in such great balance. Like most will attest to in the clip, game recognize game and these fellas are looking mighty familiar.

“Clean and honest governance begins with me and my cabinet”
I’m writing live and direct from Manila (a la Main Source/NAS - Live at the BBQ) sitting in the lobby of the Edsa Shangri-La hotel rockin’ the themed yellow polo that I copped from the infamous Greenhills flea market.
It was literally only moments ago that Benigno Aquino III was sworn into office as the 15th president of the Philippines. Benigno, aka NoyNoy who won the overwhelming majority vote, delivered his inaugural speech earlier this afternoon in Manila to an international buffet of political figures and a crowd drenched in yellow estimated to be well over five-hunnit-thou-wow (500,000). His inaugural speech incited many feelings familiar to a young Fil-Am looking for change, yet I couldn’t honestly say the true scope of his importance to the Pilipino citizen is beknownst to me.
In the year 2000…
Hard to believe that it’s damn near ten years since folks were buggin’ out that a computer glitch would cause a global apocalypse. My parents had a stockpile of bottled water, along with three giant drums filled with water chillin’ in the backyard.
But this isn’t a reflection on cultural fears and anxiety. With the closing of the first decade of the twenty first century, it’s time to get our Rob Gordon on and to obsessively analyze our picks for the top music albums of the last decade.
Another month is still needed by me to digest, nitpick, evaluate my criteria, and solidify Ninoy Brown’s definitive list. I know I lagged on my 2008 year-end list, but I promise to provide this self-obsessive list for the readers (we still have some, I hope).
I’m sure blogs are going to be inundated with these lists in the coming weeks, so why not start one on this blog now?
Leave your nominations in the comments. By all means, provide your justifications.

I hereby nominate Mark Paul Gosselaar to FOBBDeep’s list of people who are Filipino (or somewhat Filipino) in part for being half-Indonesian. Here’s a clip of Zack Morris on Late Night with Jimmy Fallon. This, however, is completely unrelated to Mr. Gosselaar’s Southeast-Asian identity because, as we all know, Zack is actually “Indian,” Nez Perce heritage to be exact as we learned back in the 90’s from Chief Henry.

I started a pledge for myself that 40 days before each major run in which I participate, I will be on a strict diet. No red meat or swine. Nor will alcohol be consumed.
The fortieth day before my next half marathon starts next Monday. So, for the next five days, I plan to eat as many items found on This is Why You’re Fat as I can.
I plan to start with Jabaconageburger, using beef patties from Patty King shipped to me by my aunt in the T.O. This will be followed by a turbaconucken.

Updating blogs once a month is not wassup nor would it be considered being da bidness, but neither are technical problems with spam clogging up server space which prevents us from posting.
Apologies for the delayed posts, aside from trying to solve this spam crisis we’ve also been busy, and just to let those of you worried know, we’re still alive and kicking… actually I can only speak for 2/3’s of the FOBBDeepers, I don’t know what journey Mad Merc has gotten himself into. He’s probably out somewhere exploring the depths of the spirit molecule.
With that, feel free to enjoy this PSA on the dangers Jenkem*:

Holiday greetings from the one and only Area by the Bay. Upon my return home, a close friend from the P’ had to show me this clip. Although “808s and Heartbreaks” has been catching all the buzz, don’t believe the hype! My man Red will put Yeezy, Weezy and T-Peezy all to shame with nothing but a mesh jersey on with no under shirt…Joke lang. Actually maybe not, telling from the fact that this was filmed from behind a security gate, it may say something to how we view or feel about the homeless. Or maybe you shouldn’t listen to things a young Sociology undergrad has to say.
Anyways, put together for your listening pleasure from years of probably smokin’ purp, the man with the real Auto Tune and the G-Funk to match, Red.
